Royal Caribbean International's Freedom of the Seas Dream Designs Colchester is delighted to be able to take this opportunity to announce to you our plans for yet another official drawing presentation, which is set to take place aboard Royal Caribbean International’s giant 158,000 tonne, Freedom of the Seas. Our two wonderful Volunteers @ Sea, Sue & Sheila, who cruise together with their families annually, have kindly agreed to present our drawing of Freedom of the Seas, which is yet to be assigned, to the Master of the vessel, Captain Rob Heapstead, during their 7 night cruise aboard in October 2011. In October 2010 Sue & Sheila presented our especially assigned drawing of Ruby Princess to the Princess Cruises' Commodore, Commodore Giuseppe Romano during their annual cruise together. Commodore Giuseppe Romano was very impressed with our drawing and was kind enough to frame and display the drawing on board. Dream Designs Colchester has had a connection with Royal Caribbean International for a number of years now, after first making contact with the leading cruise line in 2008. In August 2008, Jo Rzymowska, Associate Vice President & General Manager, Royal Caribbean International & Celebrity Cruises, UK & Ireland, kindly arranged for Dream Designs Colchester to visit their then newest and largest vessel, Independence of the Seas, whilst berthed alongside City Cruise Terminal, in Southampton. During summer of 2009, Global Cruise Services (UK) Ltd kindly agreed to present our drawing of Jewel of the Seas to the Master of the vessel, Captain James Macdonald while the vessel was berthed alongside the Cruise Terminal at Harwich International Port. We were later invited aboard Jewel of the Seas to meet with Captain James Macdonald where we were given the opportunity to visit the bridge as well as tour the various public areas on board. In December 2009, Reggie Atwell, kindly presented our drawing of Royal Caribbean International's Oasis of the Seas to Captain William Wright, Senior Vice President, Marine Operations, Royal Caribbean International, whilst aboard the vessel during the inaugural celebrations, before the the official naming ceremony. Our drawing of Freedom of the Seas is due to be assigned shortly. Photographs of the drawing will be available to view in our Cruise Ship Drawing Gallery later this week, once the drawing is completed. The drawing is set to depart Dream Designs Colchester next week, before arriving in Florida in early October 2011. Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, said: " We are truly delighted that our Volunteers @ Sea, Sue & Sheila have kindly agreed to present our drawing of Freedom of the Seas to Captain Rob Hempstead on behalf of Dream Designs Colchester during their 7 night cruise aboard the vessel later this year. " He added: " It was an honour to have Sue & Shelia present our drawing of Ruby Princess to Commodore Giuseppe Romano last year, during their annual family cruise. We would like to take this opportunity thank them both for their continued support. " ENDS
